Choosing The Right CBD Strength For Your Pet

Choosing CBD as a remedy for your pet is the first step. Now, the next step is picking the right strength that best suits their needs.

Think of CBD like any other supplement, knowing how much to take is very important!

Whether you are using CBD to enhance your pets health or using it to relieve specific symptoms.

Before you give your pet CBD take into account their size. Larger animals will require a higher concentration of CBD.

When it comes to our CBD, you can choose between 150mg, 300mg, 600mg, 1200mg. Those numbers are referring to the concentration per weight of your pet.

Recommendation per weight.

  • 150mg for up to 25lbs

  • 300mg for 25lbs-60lbs

  • 600mg 60-100lbs

  • 1200mg 100lbs+

Just so you know, the concentration technically does not matter. However, it is much easier to find the right dose for your pet if the concentration of the product you are using is the standard for the size of your pet.

Don’t worry! To get you started we have you covered.

Inside the box of each of our products, you can find a dosage chart where we break it down by weight and condition. This is a general guide but it is important to note that every animal is different. We know that you know your animal better than anyone so feel free to experiment with the dosage.

If your pet is new to CBD you can start them off slowly. Try microdoses and then continue to increase their dose until you find that sweet spot.

Gradually work up the recommended dose in increments of one or two weeks. You want to give their bodies time to adjust to this new supplement. And you want to be able to monitor how your pet is reacting to each dose in order to find the perfect one!

No such thing as one size fits all.

Some might need multiple doses of CBD oil spread out throughout the day in order to get the right kind of relief. While others may just need a few drops. Remember just like any other supplement CBD can affect different individuals in unique ways.

That is why we recommend taking the time to find the dose that works best for your fur child. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as one size fits all! Your pet is unique and the dose they require should be tailored for them.

The desired effect is also very important to take into consideration. For pain management or if you are using CBD to relieve a more severe condition a higher dose is likely going to work better. The recommended dosage on the chart in each product will guide you.

It is known as a very well-tolerated compound even in high doses. It is also good to know that CBD has no known toxic level therefore considered incapable of causing an overdose.
